Prit is a thief by trade, dealing in retrieving or stealing items to sell in space. It helps that she has a bionic leg hiding weapons and a bionic eye that assesses the people around her. A miscalculation on her latest job finds her thrown in a cell with Saluk, a hulking and scarred gladiator.
Saluk was taken from his home planet twenty years ago and forced to kill in the arena for the entertainment of others. He’d nearly given up hope of ever escaping until the tiny thief was thrown in his cell. She doesn’t react the way he’s come to expect from females. She cocks her hip and propositions him confusingly.
